Hello everybody and welcome to the local team blog – my name is Cédric – I’m looking after the development of the local.ch platform. I will from time to time provide you insight in our latest activities and future developments. I write my posts in english in order to make it hard for everybody to read (you know what I mean – you can’t make it right if you have to choose one language ;-)
First of all – many thanks to all of you that already provided us feedback and blogged about local.ch. We today released the first larger update since we went online on April 18th. It basically includes a lot of small improvements. We added a quick feedback form on every page (above the footer) that allow you to provide in-context feedback to things you like and dislike on the current page. Further a survey like feedback form to collect more structured feedback. Feel free to use these options to help us improving your local search engine.
A note to all our Internet Explorer users: If you should experience disturbing sounds (clicks) during loading or navigating the page – there is a quick workaround for that. Disable the “Start Navigation” sound in the Windows Control Panel – Sound and Audio Devices – Sound Tab. We are working on a workaround to keep IE as silent as possible. I keep you posted.
